HydroRide
Sculpture, 2017.
Created for MOSS Foundation’s charity exhibition
and auction, MOSS Deck Art Show - Turning Art into Water, raising money to fund a clean water scheme in Swaziland. HydroRide was made using
discarded items. The existing forms were assembled into a new unified form once mounted onto the deck.
The concept for HydroRide is based around the idea of turning air into clean power and water. Theoretically, the board is powered by rapidly drawing hydrogen from the atmosphere to a fuel cell, which combines hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity to power the board. As it is processing the air, water is created as a by-product, and air is expelled out the two jets creating propulsion.
